Directions: Go through the village of Portnoo heading for Rosbeg. Just before Rosbeg take road on the right to Dawros Head. Go to the end of this road and park car between the two gates. Only space for one car here. There is a small lay by just before the gates. Take the gate on the right going north. Follow rough road for 150 metres and at junction take road going right to the end. Then follow a track on the left going over hill along fence to the crag (10 minutes walk from car) The Birthday crag is the inlet at the end of the fence. 1 - Birthday Boy
Length: 30m Patrick & Adam Tinney If the tide is too high then abseil down to good ledge just above high
tide mark. Otherwise scramble down west side of inlet to the start of
the climb. The climb follows the obvious crack approximately 2 metres

3 - Birthday Girl

from the left arête. Crux is the clean finger crack going through the

2 - Birthday Wish
Length: 30m Patrick & Adam Tinney 07.08.2017 This climb should be accessible at high tide if sea is calm.
Scramble down west side of inlet to the start of the climb. The climb
follows the obvious crack approximately 10 metres from the left arête
at a short white quartz vein. Go up into the overhang left facing
corner. Left wall can be wet but it doesn’t affect the climb. Using
hand jams move up onto the good ledge on right. Follow crack to second
overhanging corner. Pull up to large ledge above and finish up crack

4 - Something Else
Length: 20m Patrick & Adam Tinney 07.08.2017
This climb is on the attached island approximately 250 metres east of
the Birthday inlet where the island is attached by a narrow piece of
land. Walk back across the island to the west face. Abseil using huge
white quartz boulders the tidal boulders at foot of face. This climbs
the obvious corner and crack at the right side of the face. Go up
corner to large ledge. Follow corner crack and step left onto ledge on
