Sillygan Suzy

Grade: S  4a
Length: 20m

Route Description:
The first slab east of the descent route is divided by a terrace descending from left to right. Where the terrace reaches the base, climb the corner and thin crack above, which go straight up the slab, petering out about two thirds way up. Thinish climbing on easier angled rock to the grass and belay.

To finish the climb and get right to the top, make sure you've left yourself an abseil rope dangling down the grassy ramp moving up and left from this. At Climbfest in May 2008, I took my chances with the crumbliest flakiest rock in Christendom, directly above Sillygan Suzy. After dislodging a huge chunk of rock (v lucky no-one was directly below it), and popping 2 bits of gear, I was very pleased to stop unhurt after a 6m fall. Be warned!
