Urris Hills Dander

Date: 4th March 2006
Submitted by: Columba McLaughlin
The extended Tees family (Alan, Margaret and Jimmy) and self had a pleasant wee dander up and over the snowy encrusted (well in some parts) Urris Hills. Alan pointed out a wee gen of an areté for future use (he is like that). On descent both Alan and self went off to explore a potential crag on the Urris side that is so obvious that you would easily miss it. On inspection there are about 4 routes on it varying from V.Diff to a possible VS. The rock appears good and may need only minimal cleaning and there are spectacular sea views. It has the potential to provide an pleasant evening's outing.
