Bill & self were with a group in Ullapool, staying in the Scotpackers Hostel. On saturday we did "Penguin Gully" on Ben Dearg. Good thing we didnt find it last visit, as it is 1500 feet of consistant III, (the first pitch IV) and would have taken a week to get 6 people up it. With a 3 hour walk in, 5 hour climb and 3 hours out, it was a long day, but brilliant route, and as good as anything I have done on the Ben. None of the lower routes were there. On Sunday we dragged a reluctant Bill around the An Teallach circuit, but even he had to admit that the views were stunning, and on Monday we did Cul Mhor in fine snow conditions.
