MI Alpine Meet
The 2016 Mountaineering Ireland Summer Alpine Meet will be based in Gressoney in the Aosta Valley, Italy. The Meet will run from July 2nd - 16th. As always there will be range of instructed courses for all abilities as well as a hut to hut walk and shorter skills workshops. Beginners Climbing Day @ Dunmore Head, Culdaff
A chance for beginners to come along and try outdoor climbing at Dunmore Head in Culdaff. The crag is very accessible, only a short walk from the road, and has good quality routes at a range of grades. Club members will be there for from 10am on Monday 4th April, and will have ropes and spare harnesses for beginners to use. Midsummer Island Trip 22-24 June
Midsummer camping and climbing on Gola Island 22nd- 24th June. Sabba is the boatman (phone: 0872245881), whose ferry departs from Magheragallon Pier, Bunbeg. According to his facebook page here boats leave 11.00 AM and 2.00PM daily, but he seems to post on the page regarding next day's sailings. Best to ring him and check, as this may change due to tide and weather. Camp site marked on the map below.
