| Date: July 2006 Submitted by: Alan Tees Too much to tell. Hired car at Grenoble and spent 12 days at the Irish Alpine Meet at Ailefroide. Did lots, but highlights were La Grand Ruine (Big Ruin- suits me I know) the 12 pitch "Palaver Des Flots" with Michael Scott IMC and Marty and Sandra. Great meet, great place with peaks, cragging and fellow paddies enerywhere. Went to the Dollies and did a couplle of Via Ferrata and a three day backpack over the Alta Via 2, which included the famous VF Tridentina. Then on to the Julian Alps in Slovenia where we did Triglav, and finally back to La Grave where we had a great day on Le Rateau. |
