Sandra in Scotland |
| Date: Sept 24-26th 2006 Submitted by: Sandra Keith M, Sandra M, PJ, Sandra Kennedy and Billy travelled to the Cairngorms (Lochnagar and Glenshee area). Included in the trip was an ascent of a classic scrambling route - Central Buttress, Lochnagar (Grade 1V) then a 30kms circular walking route around Loch Muick. Good opportunity to practice some rope scrambling techniques. Equally enthralling was the noctural visitor passing by our campsite in Lochnagar.......he/she/it was huge with knuckles dragging along the ground and growling...we were tough though. |
