| Date: 5th, 6th and 7th May 2007 Submitted by: Lena Doherty Hi all, I just wanted to say a big thank you to the organisers of the climbfest. A gang of us headed up from Dublin and had a great time. For those of you who weren't there (come next year!!), here's a wee run down of my experience: The campsite was really good (lumpy but good) - they had a big mess tent so you could cook out of the wind and rain. Not to mention the singsongs every night :) The BBQ worked well on Saturday night and there were some cool fireworks creating a great atmosphere. The village was only about 20 minutes on foot making the pub easy to get to. And - we all got T Shirts! What more could you want!! Oh yeah - the climbing!! There was plenty of climbing within walking / very short driving distance of the campsite with even more to be found slightly further a field. Thanks again guys! Lena (Dublin) |
