Post Xmas antics |
| Date: 28-31 Dec 08 Submitted by: Fat man Having eaten and drunk more than I could possibly imagine, and the relations showing no signs of leaving, Margaret and I decided to elope to Scotland. Unfortunately security was breached, the plan was leaked, and Bonny came too. A last attempt to shake her off at Larne harbour also failed, when she got on as a foot passenger, even tho the boat was fully booked! Malcolm joined us at the Moulin Inn Pitlochry, and we were four. Old friend Freezie Lee joined us in the morning and we were five. The weather forecast was set fair, but no one told Scheillion, which gave us a thorough freezing along the rocky summit ridge with poor visibility. On Tuesday there was just us to enjoy a marvellous day above the clouds on Beinn A Glo. We did two of the tops, which I will not attempt to spell (having already misspelt a least two munroes already) and we were down by dark. |
