| Date: Oct 10 Submitted by: Keith Monaghan Almost Skye Trip Headed for Skye with plans for a few of the classic climbs with Billy C, but was thwarted by high winds and rain, so had to settle for Mungo fest in Glen Shiel, Stayed at Ratagan hostel and enjoyed the crac in Kintail Hotel and Cluannie Inn. Day 1 was the Saddle via the Forcan Ridge and then Sgurr nnan Sigine, Day 2 was A Ghlas Bheinn summited on hands and knees in 90 mph gusts Day 3 the 4 mungos on the brothers ridge North Glen Shiel Day 4, 7 in a row on the south Glen Shiel ridge Day 5 was a wee dander up Beinn Sgritheall (big scree hill) above Arnisdale. Followed by numerous pints in Johnny Foxes in Inverness and an early flight back to work the next day. |

Yer a tuff nut Monaghan. A Ghlas Bheinn in 60mph gusts and snowing made me reaqlise I was not cut out to be a Monroist. But there ye go....
