Skildren Mor |
Date: 4th August 2012 Submitted by: Alan Tees Bill and I took quick scally to Skildren Mor in the Lidl yellow boat. We managed a couple of short routes, and had to abort on a third longer one due to greasy rock. The rock is now clear of nests except for one chick, which tasted quite salty to be honest! Seriously, I think its ok to go there anytime in August. 23 Aug 2012 Is that the same as a French tart? 24 Aug 2012 While obviously you are trying to be outrageously provocative, it is not right to equate pies and tarts (no matter how many vowels you use). Pies have a pastry lid. Tarte does not. 24 Aug 2012 Bloody Foodies! 24 Aug 2012 Monsieur, there is no exact translation. The fact remains, seabirds are only consumed by primitives, thus excluding all of Belgium. Alas not, the British Isles and Ireland. 24 Aug 2012 Crap! 26 Aug 2012 Is that not crepe? 28 Aug 2012 I have a recipe for cormorant. It's sometimes confusing to tell which is a cormorant or shag, I'm sure they taste the same. Anyway a friend told me not to worry about this because every cormorant is a potential shag! 10 Sep 2012 The Common cormorant or shag Lays eggs inside a paper bag But what these unobservant birds Have not noticed is that herds Of wandering bears will come with buns And steal the bags to hold the crumbs 14 Sep 2012 I'll smoke what he's smoking. |

Actually it's ok to go there any time of year. Seabirds are much overrated, even in a pie or tarte, as we say in Belgium (taart, if you're Flemish).
