We managed a couple of short routes, and had to abort on a third longer one due to greasy rock. The rock is now clear of nests except for one chick, which tasted quite salty to be honest! It's sometimes confusing to tell which is a cormorant or shag, I'm sure they taste the same. Actually it's ok to go there any time of year. Seabirds are much overrated, even in a pie or tarte, as we say in Belgium (taart, if you're Flemish).
