Date: 10th- 24th May 2013 Submitted by: Alan Finbarr and I started from Mallaig, taking the boat into Inverie, from where we made our way through Knoydart. The weather really took us on from day 1, with a 24 hour deluge causing rivers to spate, and we were immediately forced to use our FWA (foul weather alternatives). Anyway, after 4 days of wet camping, I decided that Corbett bagging with Margaret was the lesser of two evils, and dropped out. Fortunately Finbarr had a choice of companions by this stage, and he continued with a bloke called Andy, crossing the Cairngorms, and finishing in Montrose in great style. Highlight of the trip for me was the ascent of a great Corbett called Streap. Met up with Keith and Sandra in Aviemore |
