Location: Culdaff (Dunmore Head) Left Crags.
Grade: S 4a

First ascent: A Tees, S Hamilton 1/6/89)

Route Description:

This route climbs the left-hand corner. Float up it until it becomes vertical just below a dubiouslooking spike. Move up left of the spike and step across right onto a ledge to finish. Good route, and probably the only one worth doing in this part of the cliff.

This route is at the west end of a large sea facing vegetated crag around the head (east) from the usual crags. Go over a small col on the seaward side, and do a rising traverse to Gr 55453 49976. 5 minutes from the other routes.

Both of us soloed this on 01/07/07 and felt worth 1 or 2 stars, the clean-up job has really made a difference to what formerly was an overgrown scrappy-looking piece of junk. A true Cinderella of a route, recommended.
