a second gear placement can be made at the foot of a small niche 1M below the top

Neil Machon whilst on holiday 27/08/03 got in the 2nd Ascent of this 2yr old climb. Though not losing his bottle, he did lose his nuts!; a carabiner full went into the sea (retrieved later). Neil confirms the grade at VS 4c, finding the start a little daunting; a high spring tide adding to the fear factor.

He's a 'family man', Pete also managed to have a good handhold rip-out; this has been known to add atmosphere to a climb. An alt. option is solo it at high water!

At last got me nuts back(when i return) fraid i wont be back until late october v/good route though

Dave Millar - 16/07/2007
Nice route, step up at start aided by improving handholds. Nice finish out on arete, grade spot on.

Pete Smith - 14/07/2003
Brave lead for a VS climber. One protection placement about halfway up will not prevent a nasty fall onto the ledge from the top.
