Route Description:
Climb the hanging knife edge Rib high on Errigals NW face. An absolutely outstanding mixed winter route with two distinct cruxes and considerable exposure/atmosphere. Immaculate rock, holds, turf and climbing! A winter grade of III,3 for this beast!

Climbed this today. In alot better condition than we thought it would be. Enjoyed it even more than the last time we climbed.

Congrats Ian, you got a cherry there. In summer this climb (North Rib) is called Tower Ridge (See Irish Mountain Log Issue 55 Autumn 2000). The 2nd Tower (the Staircase) is the main crux and not for the faint hearted and I'm not suprised you had diff getting over it. Its a great route in dry and non windy conditions.

This route was in perfect condition on date climbed above, get on it ASAP it is a superb climb to Donegal's highest summit!
