Anaphylactic Shock * *

Location: Croc an affrain
Grade: HVS  5a
Length: 22m
First ascent: K McGee, P Tinney 01/08/10
Route Description:
To the left of the ivy covered face is a large overhang. Start on a small rock outcrop below the left side of the overhang. Make an awkward move to gain a stance on the face and climb to the base of the roof(good pro). Move left in to the groove and climb this direct to the top.

Climbed this again this evening, great climb with excellant gear all the way. All the climbs at this crag are in prefect condition even after all the bad weather.

A great find and route. Moves past the roof on the bottom half are really nice and climbing in the top half of the route is technically interesting in places and in a great position. HVS 5a and a few stars maybe.

Certainly doesn't look understated at 22 metres! If my memory serves, this is the best area of rock at the crag. Good work you boys!

Sounds like a good line - any photos?

Hi Pete, just sent you a few photos. It is a nice line, a bit pumpy at the start and then exposed and sustained to the top.

I really like the photo, it looks like a homage to the pics in Classic Rock. In fact, it looks like we should be querying how many pitches - the scale looks vast.
