Island June Climbing Weekend
The iconic annual mid summer Island climbing camping hiking kayaking weekend will be the June 19-20-21st weekend. It is planned to be Gola which is serviced by a ferry from Maghergallon pier. Camping is possible on the Island or there is camping for both tents and vans at Maghergallon Pier. The decision is weather dependent. Updates will be posted on the Club Whatsapp group. Look forward to some long awaited sunshine.

Mountaineering Ireland Summer Alpine Meet
Mountaineering Ireland's Summer Alpine Meet is based this year in Gressoney St. Jean in the Aosta Valley, Italy. This valley is the home of some iconic alpine peaks such as Mont Blanc, the Matterhorn, Monte Rosa and Gran Paradiso. There is something for everyone here from low-level walks, alpine trekking and climbing. This Meet is for walkers, rock climbers, and mountaineers of all ages and abilities. The weekend of July 18 -19 our club chairman George Beaumont is kindly hosting this climbing weekend with base in a fabulous Kildare countryside setting and climbing likely at Glendalough. Space for campers is available. More details to follow.
