How Do Chimney

Location: Culdaff (Dunmore Head) Left Crags.
Grade: HVS  5b
Length: 10m

Route Description:
Left of 'Scratch' is a left facing corner, climb up this, step out onto right-hand buttress to gain bottomless chimney. Tougher than it looked.

Nice comments, cheers. The original grade was going to be E1 5c - but that was for the on-sight lead and facing 'the wrong way'. It was Dave M. who showed me how to climb it with style and facing the correct way. It was a happy find, following removal of briars. Glad you like it.

Climbed this again yesterday, its a great routes, worthy of 1 or 2 stars in my opinion.

Did this climb on Saturday, a great line with some nice moves. I would say top end HVS, verdging on E1.

Got on this there at the weekend and thought it was a very good route, different from the usual stuff over at the main crag. Awkward moves in the chimney but well protected, HVS 5b sounds about right.
