Dire straights

Location: Eglish (Middle Easter Wall)
Grade: HVS  5a
Length: 14m
First ascent: B Johnston, D Millar (10/6/97)
Route Description:
On the vertical wall 8m left of `Basecamp Corner'. There are two discontinuous left trending cracks. One above the other. Starting on the left, Step up via lay away hold and foothold to reach right to bottom of lower crack. Move up this until the upper crack can be reached, up this and then short groove to top.

Very nice climb, quite pumpy, and is a bit run out near the top. Grade seems spot on. Possibly worthy of a star or 2?

Anyone else any thoughts on stars for this route? Millar must have barely been out of nappies back in 97!
