Merve

Route Description:

Approx 200m North, from the abseil ring, the ground descends to a gully, which is awkward to get down. Immediately at the bottom left of this, are two straight vertical cracks. Climb them.

The whole of Ramore Head - This is a load of pictures joined together (like......doh!) and shows Ramore Head from end to end. The rock is weird and sugary - a bit like gravel stuck together with flour paste. Still, there's potential for a good day's crack and bolting the crag may be a way of making it popular.

Most of the ones you mention we already climbed and named in 1982, David Sneath and I did a few others, there is / was a peg in a route a 100 meters to left of the gully of MRVE which was a boldish bridging problem followd by small buldge, about E1 5b name Scithonian Scabble.

I and David Sneath first climbed this whilst at the then NUU in 1982. It is called MRVE, as pieces of rock fell off in a similar manner to an ICMB (well we were students).
