- .....3 as for Larceny - 70m.

30m. From the belay move up and then diagonally right across the face to the edge. Up this airily to a ledge at 15m. From this ledge move slightly right, then left to a black corner.
- 20m. Climb blocks at the back of the corner and move right. Continue straight up to base of groove to left of the finish of Tarquins Groove. Up this groove and exit right on small ledge.
A harder alternative climbs straight up onto the edge of the Delta Face from just before the swing round left onto the bottom of the face on Pitch 3.

Done this today and agree three stars, though we approached it via the first pitch of Aiseiri having done the Larceny pitches before. This gave a more sustained,direct,cleaner, evenly graded route.
We didn't think the route was high in the grade though |

A great route, maybe worthy of 3 stars. The move on the 3rd pitch of Larceny stepping onto the main face is in a great and exposed position leading to a great belay seat. The 4th pitch certainly gets the mountain feel with gear where you need it, while the final pitch offering nice pleasant climbing. Definetly feels top end VS, great wee route. |

Having now completed 1/2 dozen of these LB VSs' my conclusion is beware if you lead vs and are climbing at your grade and no more because one thing all these climbs seem to have in commom are tricky technical cruxes with good gear at the crux but lacking those confidence boosting placements one requires when launching across intimidating,steep, exposed faces which is another feature the climbs of this grade at his crag seem to share. Howevver, if your confident with a good head it is superb climbing at the extreme end of its grade. |
